A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum

In April 2013 South Manchester AOS performed 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' at the RNCM.

Inspired by the roman farces of Platus, ‘A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum’ is a hilarious musical comedy set in Ancient Rome.

It tells the bawdy tale of the wily slave Pseudolous, who must unite his young smitten master with a virgin courtesan to win his freedom. The result is an irreverent romp, filled with slapstick humour, foolish schemes, mistaken identities, cross-dressing, zany characters and a celebration of the infectious energy of classic Vaudeville.
