Chess The Musical

In Spring 2012 South Manchester AOS performed the 1980s musical "Chess".  With music by ABBA stars Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and lyrics by Tim Rice this musical is a popular story set in the context of the Cold War.  

The story involves a romantic triangle between two top chess players, an American and a Russian, in a world chess championship, and a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.  Songs include "One Night in Bangkok", "Pity the Child" and "I Know Him So Well".
